The Stick Boy
is my name I am 17 years old and my passion for the great outdoors has got me where I am now. I am a skilled Bushcraft and survival skills expert that loves his craft
Hello my name is Raif and I am based in the South Downs and New Forest National Parks in the south of the UK. I have and have always had an affinity with the woods and when I am walking amongst the trees I feel at home.
Since an early age I have seeked to gain experiences and skills associated with the forest. Growing up I taught myself a range of skills with the limited resources I had, like foraging for medicinal herbs and fungi, woodcarving and whittling (which developed significantly when I attended Bushcraft/Forest School and target shooting
I am highly passionate and wish to teach others and I intend to run classes and workshops in the future.

this my work 3 years ago and I continue to try new thing and perfect my craftmanship.
I am a qualified level 1 Bushcraft instructor and forest school leader currently working towards level 2 & 3. I am a volunteer at sunrise Bushcraft.
Despite my age 17 I have a lot of experience in the outdoors including activities like whittling and woodcarving where I make different things like spoons, bowls and kuskas (a Scandinavian drinking cup) and lots more. I also do taxidermy with animal bones and which are all ethically sourced and found in ancient woodland, beaches, meadows and hedgerows.
Regularly visit the Rollright Stones and sell my crafts to tourists and im a volunteer warden there
. I intend to inspire others to spend more time in the woods.
